How Do I Convert My GPA?

Here’s a Simple Chart

American high schools typically report Grade Point Average to colleges on a 4.0 scale. The highest grade is a 4.0, or A. Outside of the US, schools use a wide range of scales. Below are some common international scales.

Please note: It’s best to use the scale provided by your school (if available) since grading scales can vary by institution. Ideally, your school will also share grade distribution information, or the percentage of students who receive each grade. International schools often have stricter grading standards and may rarely award the equivalent of an A — important context for universities to have when evaluating your transcript!
